Connecting your HP Printer with Google Cloud Print

You can use Google Cloud Print by registering your Printer through the Google Chrome browser on any computer or on a Chromebook.

Pre-requisites

  • A Computer running Chrome or a Chromebook
  • A Google Account
  • A Google Cloud Print Ready Printer

Note: You must use a wired or a wireless connection if you connect your printer with a USB, GCP will not work.

If your cloud ready printer is an HP ePrint printer, connecting to Google Cloud Print is as simple as entering your ePrint email address here.

Once Google Chrome is installed, follow the steps below to enable the Google Cloud Print connector in Google Chrome.

  • Log in to your user account on the Windows, Mac or Linux computer.
  • Open Google Chrome.
  • Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
  • Select Settings.
  • Click the Show advanced settings link

Note: Your HP printer's ePrint email address is only used to identify the printer, print jobs from Google Cloud Print are sent directly to the printer via HP's ePrint service and don’t rely on email.

Connecting your HP Printer with Google Cloud Print

You can use Google Cloud Print by registering your Printer through the Google Chrome browser on any computer or on a Chromebook.

Pre-requisites

  • Press the Power button to switch your Printer On
  • Open Google Chrome on your Computer
  • Click the Menu icon
  • Click Settings
  • In the Settings window, scroll down and select Show Advanced Settings
  • Scroll to Google Cloud Print, and then click the Manage button
  • On the devices screen, you will find all of the printers that GCP detects on your network
  • If your printer is listed under New devices, click Register
  • Confirm your registration
  • If prompted, press OK on your printer to register the printer with GCP
  • Depending on your printer model, a confirmation page might print
  • If your printer is not listed on the devices screen, try to connect with your printer's email address and confirm that the device is connected to the network
  • If your printer is listed under My devices, then it is already registered with GCP

Print a document or image from your computer

  • Open the Chrome browser, then sign in to your Google account.
  • Click Print, select Upload file to print, then click Select a file from my computer.
  • Select the document you want to print, then click Open.
  • From the Google Cloud Print window, select your printer, then click Print.
  • Change print settings if necessary, then click Print again.

Print an email or a webpage from your Computer

  • Open the Chrome browser , then sign in to your Google account.
  • Open the email or web page you want to print.
  • Click the Chrome menu icon , then select Print from the drop-down menu. The Print window opens.
  • In the Print window under Destination, click the Change button.
  • In the Select a destination window under Google Cloud Print, select your printer.
  • In the Print window, change any print settings and then click Print.

Print an email, document or web page from your Android

  • Open Google Play Store.
  • Search for Cloud Print, then tap Cloud Print by Google, Inc.
  • Install Cloud Print, then tap Back
  • Tap Settings, tap More networks or More settings, then tap Printing.
  • Scroll to Cloud Print, then tap On, if it is not already on
  • Open a saved document or image, or open an email or web page, then tap the menu icon.

Note: The menu icon might look different, depending on your mobile device.

  • Tap Print, then tap Google Print.
  • Select your printer, change print settings if necessary, then tap Print.

Print an email, document or web page from your Apple ios

Print an existing document or image or an email or web page from Google apps already installed on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch using Google Cloud Print.
